GI Textile Class 2019

Today for textile, I firstly measured my length and width of my cushion. My measurements for my length was 40cm, my measurement for my width was also 40cm. Next I measured the measurements onto my fabric, I did 40cm for the inside and 41 for the outside. Then I cut the length and width which measured 41, after I finished cutting the outside I measured the same measurement onto my friends fabric, then she done the same! All I need to do for the next period is practise on sewing. Once I get the hang of sewing correctly, and I am confident. I will start to sew my fabric together, to form my cushion. Then lastly I will add the last touchings, such as:inserting the fluff inside the cushion.

Logical Math

For our morning session in room 6, our task was to try out this math site called "brilliant math". I chose to study Logic, I found it partly easy and partly hard. Most of the problems are asking you to study the questions very carefully, which I did enjoy!

DLO:Problem Solving

WALT: Solve word problems by using the best strategy we know!
For today's morning session our first activity was solving word problems in our groups. In the different equations I found the problems quite easy to solve, and at a very fast time to finish. I enjoyed having fun solving the problems with my group, and I also enjoyed working with my partner Mele! I could work on explaining my working out a bit easier next time!

DLO:Collaborative Problem Solving

WALT:Do word problems using the best strategy we know!
Today in groups/pairs our class were doing Collaborative Problem Solving. I found the task a bit harder than usually, but I managed to figure out the answer. The strategy I knew was the best to use was Algorithm! Using algorithm in this problem made my life easier, it was quite easy to solve by using algorithm. I actually learned very well to subtract and add large numbers. I enjoyed doing this activity with my pair, and I'm glad that I got the opportunity to learn new skills on this task by just simply using algorithm.
