The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (Word Whiz)


Today for middle block, I completed a reading task. I used the book "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas". I chose the word whiz task. Instructions say, to search for new and interesting vocabulary, define the meaning, and find synonyms! At the end you must write your own sentence with your selected word.

Today for math, I completed a times tables task! There are 65 multiplication equations in total. I completed all 65, answered 2 incorrectly, and ran out of time to answer the last 2.

Today for math I have completed, a BEDMAS task. I only made it 8 levels up, and earned $80. I believe that I should improve more on ordering my operations, correctly!

New Vocabulary

Same sentences...different meanings!

WALT:Use punctuation, in our writing, so we can be able to receive a higher mark!

Today for writing, I individually completed a punctuation task, which was used with the same sentences, but awfully different meanings! The following instructions, is to: try and fix the sentence, so it will make proper and understandable sense, by using punctuation marks! Next, is to create your own illustration example to show the difference in the same sentence.

Today my friend and I, worked together to solve a mysterious problem, about a "Map of the Traitor". We found it quite easy, and enjoyable! This is our second time working together to try and solve another mystery, and we worked quite well!

Collaborative Mystery Solving "The Liars Club"

Today for our middle block, my partner and I done an activity called "Collaborative Mystery Solving". We have four suspects:Debra, The butler, Luke and Olivia. The problem is that there are 6 valuable dices that belong to Debra's grandfather.....which were stolen. We have to figure out who stole the dices by working like a detective. We have been given clues about each character in the story. We found this task partly easy and hard. We both enjoyed this activity, and we had fun working together!
