Vector Talks 2017

A few months ago room 10 which is our class went to the hall to see vector talk about their stories and job.

When we got to the hall, we saw a lady which worked at vector. There she told us to sit down on one of the chairs that were there. One moment later, she decided to tell us some stories about a young boy that was playing/climbing on a tree and he saw that there was a plat form by the power lines where a old transformer use to be, later on he decided to climb on top of that plat, and when he got onto the plat form he was so excited that he jumped and waved his hands in the air and suddenly...... He got electric shot by the power line just because his hands were so close to the power lines that it electric shot him and he fell off the high plat form down to the ground. Then someone from the neighbor hood saw what had happened and came running to the young child and called the ambulance. She did not touch him because he was boiling hot, he was incongruous and he had very bad burned damaged skin so he was in a coma in the hospital and he survived and from that accident he has learned a very valuable lesson by power.

Soon after the story, the lady asked us to watch a video of power safety and then she gave us quizzes and after the quizzes she kindly gave us a pencil and a book to write in.
